TIER 2 ICT Dependent Visa extension after ILR

Hi All,

I got my ILR recently in 5 years route. But my wife still holds TIER 2 ICT dependent visa which is valid till next June. I am thinking of extending my wife's visa now. Is that possible? Should i go with Tier 2 ICT dependent extension again?

Extend her current visa nearer to when it expires next year. She will granted a 3 year extension. She can apply for ILR once she reaches 5 years residence.

Thanks CR001. Please let me know if we can extend it now (as planning to go out of country for delivery in early next year)? Should it be Tier 2 ICT dependent?

Should be ok to extend now.

Your child will also have to apply for a visa to return if born abroad and will not be British. Child will only be British if born within the UK.

I understand that, since im not a citizen of UK, i can't get right of Abode for my kid as well. No other option than getting a visa for kid. However, i'm more cautious NOT to break my wife's stay continuity. so that, she will be eligible for ILR in 2 year.

For extending my wife's visa, should i get any letter (or CoS) from my employer as this is going to be Tier 2 ICT? Can i extend my wife's Tier 2 ICT dependent visa even if i changed my employer?

If i extend my wife's Tier 2 ICT visa now then should i pay NHS Surplus charge as it doesn't show any Surplus charge for ICT?

There is no absence limit for one dependents.

No she does not need a Cod to extend her visa. She is not dependent on an employer. She is dependent on you. Yes she can extend regardless of where you work.

IHS is not payable for ICT dependents.

Hi Everyone,

As I was told here in this thread that we should be able to extend my Wife's TIER-2 ICT dependent visa now (though it has validity until next July'18) as my visa status is changed from TIER-2 ICT to ILR recently. We need to extend her visa as soon as possible as we are planning to have a baby outside the UK in next year and this should not affect my wife's continuity.

However, I got a negative answer from the UBIV support when I called them. They told me that we can't extend my wife's TIER-2 ICT Dependent Visa now as has validity until next July'18 and can be extended only 28 days prior to expiring though my visa status changes.

Please let me know if UKIV support is wrong or some misunderstanding on this? Thanks

Can I extend my Wife's Tier 2 ICT dependent visa prior to 10 months of expiry as she is looking to go out of the country later?

Should we pay IHS charges while extending her wife as i got ILR recently after 5 years stay in Tier 2 ICT route?
