Naturalisation Online Checking Service. Decided too soon.

Post by adamlondon » Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:49 pm

Hi All

I applied for naturalisation on the 6th June 2017. My biometrics was done on the 19th June. I checked the online checking service today (3rd July 2017)
at https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus.

I received the folowing messge.

Application reference: xxxxxxx

Decided
Application status updated on 05 May 2017.

What does this mean?
The decision has been posted to you. You should receive this within 10 working days. We cannot discuss this decision online or by phone.

The order of the status is Open, Awaiting a decision and Decided.

If you don't receive your decision within 10 working days, you can phone us and we will look into this for you.

For further information about application processing times please visit GOV.UK.
[/b]

My concern is that it's been less that a month which leads me to believe there is something seriously wrong. How could this have been updated in May when I hadn't even applied?

PLS help. Im panicking here

Your dates don't add up. Do you want to check them and re-post? :?

Hi Casa. Tjats exactly my point.

I was granted ILR on 6th May 2017.
I applied on 6th June 2017
Biometrics 19th June 2017

Checked today and got the message. Decided. etc

I used the Case ID which I received in my acknowledgement emaiil but it wasnt recognised. I then used My Home office ref number which displayed this message.

The message could be referring to your ILR application and not your citizenship application.

Assuming you are married to a British Citizen hence applying so soon after ILR??

Hi Casa

Yes I'm married to a British Citizen and that's why I applied immediately.

I agree with CR001 that this is probably related to your recent ILR application.

I do apologise. I should have checked properly. No excuse there. I should pay attention more often. Sorry
