Tier 2 general delays

Post by scy16879 » Tue Jul 04, 2017 5:49 am

Just hooked on this wonderful forum.

1. Category applying under (General / ICT / other) - General
2. Country of application - India
3. City of Visa Application Centre - VFS Mumbai
4. Date of application - 30th March 2017
5. Date of submission of documents (if different from 3 above) - 30th March 2017
6. Date Entry Clearance valid from - Awaiting decision
7. Duration for Entry Clearance - Awaiting decision
8. Date passport received - Awaiting

I have looked around on this forum and I think my case is one of the few whereby the 12-week service timeline for UKVI to process applications has passed! I have been in touch with their helpline but I think we all know what the outcome of that is, it's their usual standard responses without divulging the details. I suppose they are equally at sea when it comes to knowing where an application stands in the true sense of the word!

I'm now told that my case has been escalated (I doubt they realize the meaning of it) and I should receive a response within 15 working days (talk about escalation!).

I'm at 95 calendar days and counting! Anyone has any suggestions/ideas to circumvent this? Should I consider withdrawing my application at this stage or is it worth waiting for another 3-4 weeks to see if something comes through positive?

Thanks.
