So if his inlaws wants to visit them every year, what would be the appropirate time frame for a visitor without getting flagged down for deception?Wanderer wrote:2. Five months is too long for a visit.
It's a margin call, suggest one reads others similar stories on these very fora. A definite no-no is asking for a certain period and staying longer, seems that will almost certainly guarantee future refusals.otuwa wrote:So if his inlaws wants to visit them every year, what would be the appropirate time frame for a visitor without getting flagged down for deception?Wanderer wrote:2. Yes it does, UKVI will see how long they stated they were staying and how long they did eventually stay.bss85g wrote:Thanks for the response.
Does it make a difference if the sponsor letter stated 2 month and the application stated longer?
Yes, the visitor will have to satisfy the IO that he/she is a genuine visitor if questioned....bss85g wrote:Thanks again for your respose.
I read somewhere that even if the sponsor letter stated a 2 month visit it is still up to the officer if he wishes to grant a visa, is this correct?
