Possible ILR next year?

Post by aarontyt » Fri Jul 07, 2017 1:20 pm

Hi all, I'm trying to gather information and understand more about my ILR eligibility. Can someone please advise on my visa situation?

I first entered UK with a Tier 2 ICT short term visa in November 2013, and I left UK end of October 2014 just before my visa expires. However, I only obtained a new Tier 2 ICT long term visa in February 2015 and returned to UK in March 2015, which means there is a 3 months break between my work permits.

Just wondering does that break the 5 years continuos stay period or am I still eligible to apply by the end of 2018?

Thanks in advance

Tier 2 ICT issued after April 2010 does not lead to ILR. So you would not qualify anyway.

Thanks for the information, I've certainly heard that before but information are confusing. What are the options for Tier 2 ICT visa holders to extend their stay? As I understand the maximum length of stay allowed under the visa is only 5 years 1 month.

Switch to T2G or another visa such as student. Or marriage!
