Can We switch from Tier2 general to Student visa from UK

Hi Guys,

I have couple of questions regarding switching from Tier 2 to tier 4, company licence revoked, no curtailment received as only 6 months left on the Tier 2 visa.

Question 1; Can I apply to switch within the country? or I have to apply from the Home country?

Question 2: Applying from home country, does it it impact on the continuity of residence in the UK?

Dear Members,

I am in bit of of same situation, Studied Masters for one year and One year from PGD, then 2.5 years on Tier 2, however Tier 2 licence revoked, haven't got any curtailment letter yet. Have got 6 months visa left, expiring in Nov-2017.

Q:Am I OK to apply within the country for Tier 4 Visa?if I manage to get a CAS from uni?

I have contacted university they said we can't offer you a place as your Tier 2 licence has been revoked.

Q: Is there any problem to get a Tier 4 visa from the home country on Level 8?

Please advice.

I have contacted university they said we can't offer you a place as your Tier 2 licence has been revoked.

If that is their final answer, then you cannot make a Tier 4 application anyway. But it seems a strange reason to refuse to sponsor under Tier 4.
