Tax is due where the work is done and the German Finanzamt is the Gestapo in Taxman's clothing, you really do not want to fall foul of them.Ragerunner wrote:Hi,
Was hoping someone might be able to help with potential options for a situation.
I am currently a UK Tier 2 General visa holder.
My work place is fine with me working in Germany for X amount of time.
My passport is Australian so staying in Germany for more than 90 days will max out my schengen travel stay.
Was wonder if there is any possible way I can still be considered working in the UK but be able to stay in Germany. Was hoping for around 1 year.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
You have to register your address in Germany and from that the taxman will contact you and want his 56%. Otherwise you are illegal.Ragerunner wrote:Thanks for your responses
I was thinking of not permanently staying consecutively in Germany
but come back to the UK every couple of weeks for a free days and return to Germany and repeat. Not sure if that changes anything
