Documents for Naturalisation/Citizenship

Post by Devil81 » Wed Jul 12, 2017 8:31 pm

Dear members,

I am compiling my documents for my NCS appointment next week. Here's a list which I feel should be sufficient for submission.

Passport Application form
Form AN
Non-EU passport + BRP(ILR)
LIUK test cert.
UK NARIC English Language Proficiency statement
Accountant letter (Director of a Ltd Company)
Employment history from HMRC (To satisfy 1.48-1.50 as per guide AN)
P60s for last 6yrs (To satisfy 1.48-1.50 as per guide AN)
SATRs for last 5yrs (Self-employed applicant)
3 recent photographs

Am I missing anything? :?

Look forward to hear from you guys.

Thanks in advance.

Why not apply for your passport at the same time using the JCAP service at NCS?

Otherwise all looks good.

Had a lot of Docs. The guy only photocopied probably 6 out of around 100.
But better safe then sorry. I think you be fine...good luck...

Hey guys,

I got little confused after speaking to my mate regarding referee details in Passport application form (Amber one from Royal Mail). :?

He submitted his JCAP application in June 2017 and left Section 10 'Countersignature' blank with the understanding that it is not to be filled, but his referee did authorize one of his photograph.

While reviewing the form the NCS guy at local council did not ask him to fill-in this section.

I was in belief that 'countersignature' section is to be filled-in by a first referee and authorize applicants photograph.

https://www.gov.uk/countersigning-passp ... what-to-do

Even the above link conforms countersignature is required for first adult passport.

Can anyone confirm what's the way forward as I have my referee details on the form with my appointment booked next week.

Thanks

That is correct if you apply for the first passport only, which I did (didn't use JCAP). Using JCAP your AN referees are sufficient (i.e. passport form doesn't have to be filled by referee).
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks alterhase58.

Ahh...now I get it. As the referee details have already been captured on AN form they are not required on the passport form.

They are only required for other application routes (i.e. not the NCS/JCAP route).

Anyways I have already got it on my form so I'm not bothering to replace it unless NCS think otherwise.
I think having it does no harm as well.
