Travel before vigilante sticker expire date

Post by vnsarvind » Mon Jun 26, 2017 7:10 am

I am from India.

I was in UK from 3rd June 2016 to 19th May 2017 on Tier-2 ICT Short Term Dependent Visa (my wife was main applicant).
I was working for an employer (using my dependent visa) who sponsored me a new Tier 2 General visa.

I applied for new Tier 2 general Visa on 23rd May 2017 & after 15 working days, I got visa on 12th June 2017 (vigilante sticker valid till 12th July 2017).

Since my wife's employer is also applying for new Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa, so I applied Tier 2 ICT Dependent Visa on 20th June 2017. My passport is submitted now. It takes around 15 working days for Tier 2 Visa.

I doubt I will get my passport before validity date (12th July 2017) of Tier 2 General Visa.

What should I do now ? Can I ...

1- Request now to put my application request on Fast Track (after submitting documents / passport) ?
2- Can I withdraw my application now (after submitting documents / passport) ?
3- Can I send an email to someone to look into my matter on-priority ?

I know that I can request for vigilante sticker transfer after its expiry date but I don't want to do that. I want to arrive UK before 12th July 2017.
Is there any alternate way to arrive UK before expiry date ?

Please help me.

Why did you apply for a dependent visa when you already had your own tier 2 general?

You cannot hold two visas at the same time. If your dependent visa is granted, your tier 2 general visa will be cancelled.

I was not sure for this information. How can I stop my processing on immediate basis.
I want to preserve my Tier-2 visa otherwise I will loose my job.

Please advice on priority.

Suggest you contact the application urgently or look up UKVI details online.

I searched for my query on UKVI. Can you please share any UK Visa official link regarding this.

When you are enquiring about this with the UKVI, you should be aware that this is a visa vignette, not a vigilante sticker.
vigilante: a person who tries in an unofficial way to prevent crime, or to catch and punish someone

Kid Visa Rejected but Spouse got visa

Post by vnsarvind » Thu Jul 13, 2017 2:19 pm

I was in UK from 3rd June 2016 to 19th May 2017 on Tier-2 ICT Short Term Dependent Visa (my wife was main applicant).
I was working for an employer (using my dependent visa) who sponsered me a new Tier 2 General visa.

I applied for new Tier 2 general Visa on 23rd May 2017 & after 15 working days, I got visa on 12th June 2017 (vigilante sticker valid till 12th July 2017). I am in UK now & got my BRP as well.

Since my wife's employer is also applying for new Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa, so I applied Tier 2 ICT Dependent Visa on 20th June 2017.

I was not having knowledge that if I will get new Tier-2 ICT Dependent Visa, my Tier-2 General Visa will expire.

After getting information that my Tier-2 General visa will be cancelled if I will get Tier-2 ICT Dependent Visa, I requested for withdrawal of my Tier-2 ICT Dependent Visa Application & got my passport without Tier-2 ICT Dependent visa.

I have a kid of 3 years 10 months old & my wife applied for him as her dependent. When she was submitting application, till the time I was not having my Tier-2 general Visa, so my wife didn't gave my visa status in kid visa application.

My kid visa got rejected & the reason I got from Visa Officer is :

As per withdrawal of your father's application, I have refused your application because I am not satisfied on the balance of possibilities that you meet all of the requirements of the relevant Paragraph 319H of the United Kingdom immigration rules.

Please be noticed that I was not having knowledge of Paragraph 319H.

Me, my wife & my kid, we all were in UK from 6th June 2016 till 19th June 2017.

My wife vigilante sticker valid till 06th August 2017.
What should I do for my kid visa. Should I :

1- Ask for Administrative review
2- Apply new visa with priority service so that before my wife vigilante sticker expire, we get kid visa as well.

Please suggest.

HO likely questioning where the other parent is. If your wife did not give some details about your application then children unlikely to get a visa particularly as you withdrew your dependent visa application.

You will have to reapply for the kids.

Hi,
Many thanks for your response.
I re-applied for my kid visa & he got visa this time.

Can I raise administrative review request now for previous rejected visa application ?
Is there any harm in this ? I want to prove that they did wrong. Please provide pros & cons.

Waiting for your quick response.

Thanks,
Arvind

To achieve what? They visa has been granted now so AR is irrelevant. The refusal was correct based on the information submitted, nothing can change that.

The result of AR is either in visa being granted or rejected again. It never gets you the money back.

Visa fees are not refunded if there is a refusal. It is the applicants or parents responsibility to make sure all requirements are met and information is accurate.

You should get the IHS fee back though.
