Visiting visa

Post by elmers-end » Sun Jul 16, 2017 9:06 pm

Dear All,

My mum applied for UK visiting visa 5 months and got 6 months visit visa. Now, we bought a ticket for 5 months and 20 days. If my mum is going to stay these extra 20 days, will it be overstayer and going to be any visa problems?

Could you please let me know as soon as possible because she is traveling to the uk on 18th July.

Kind Regards,
RR

If she stated on her application that she was staying 5 months and stays longer, it could possibly affect a future visa application and cast doubt on her being a genuine visitor.

She won't be an overstayer if she leaves before her visa expires, but UKVI is hot on checking how long visitors actually stay based on how long they said they would stay when applying for the visa.

Thank you very much......

Actually, my mum got a visa and booked ticket, arriving London on 18th July and departure date: 06th January. Will it be questioned on arrival (immigration officer) - you applied for five months and are going to stay 5 months and 20 days ? Or let her allow stay in the UK.

Please let me know.

Kind Regards

Hi, you mention it could affect future visa applications. Do you think the fiance visa is included? or just future visitor visas? Thanks

It may be questioned, but I doubt that she would be refused entry.

Can I change the flight ticket date? Yes if the terms & conditions of the airline permit it.

Please let me know.
