Spouse visa of a student

Post by Lolaky » Mon Jul 17, 2017 7:20 pm

Hi,
I'm writing regarding a concern that was made from a friend of mine. She has been living in the UK for the past 4 years, she's married to a Yemeni guy who has been living in the UK for almost 10 years. He's got a student visa and he's planing to get his permanent visa next month. Recently they have been thinking about separation and maybe divorce. She's also planing to go to Jordan next week, but I'm afraid that her husband might cancel her visa while she's away. The questions are: Can he cancel the visa without her permission (or informing her at least). She works full-time and she's the provider of her family. She's also worried about her son's future and what will happen if she won't be allowed to enter the UK again.

Please please please reply ASAP for she's leaving the country next week.

Many thanks in advance for your reply.

If she is a tier 4 dependent visa holder based on husband tier 4 visa, then yes of course he can notify HO. He doesn't need wife's permission to do this or even to inform her that he is going to do it

Visa won't be cancelled immediately anyway, it does take a while.
