Has your wife been granted ILR? She needs this before she qualifies for British citizenship.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Then it makes no difference at all which rule she applies under.

There is one difference. Under the 5 year rule, the intended principal home after naturalisation must be in the UK (unless a crown service exemption applies).

Reference address for Naturalisation

Post by happyme » Wed Jul 19, 2017 11:35 pm

Hi,

In naturalisation form 2 references gave their personal (home ) address. Is that okay or at least one should give their employer address ?

Thank you in advance.
