Financial requirements for uk

Post by Qhulley87 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:44 am

Hi. My wife and I live in Zimbabwe. We have been married for 4 years and have a daughter together. My wife and daughter both have uk passports and I am on a South African one, we are wanting to move to the UK but we do not meet the financial requirements for a spouse visa. I have tried to contact the visa center for help but they not very helpful. So my question is. What do we do? Is it possible to get a spouse visa if you do not meet the financial requirements?

Unfortunately not possible if your wife does not meet the income requirement.

Do you have any UK Ancestry (UK born grand parent)?

If not, maybe look at going to the republic of Ireland.

Grandparents Born in Zimbabwe/south africa. Are there any other options. I.e. Long stay holiday visa.? We do not want to be separated for 6 months if she has to work in the UK... Her parents own a house there and that's where we would be moving to.

Fraid not - in any case any sort of visit visa would be difficult with a spouse in the UK. Do you have savings of £62,500 or more? There is that option.....
