How to cover 10 days gap between Tier 2 Extension and ILR

Hi,
I am just wondering if some can put me into the right direction. My Tier 2 Extension is due on 12-09-2017 whereas my ILR is due on 22-09-2017 (First Tier 2 was granted on 20-10-2012. So i can apply 28 days earlier). I am reading some horrible stories that HO is putting extension applications on hold especially the applications made through priority service or premium services. I have got a dependent wife and a baby is due in the first week of October. Can someone please guide me how to tackle this kind of situation? Can I make a Tier 2 Standard extension application and convert it into ILR application after 10 days assuming my visa application will still be pending.

I have a similar case. I am completing my 5 years on Tier 2 on 17th October 2017 whereas my current visa is up to 4th October 2017 only. I don't know how to handle this 10-12 days gap. Am I eligible for ILR or should I apply for one year Visa extension.

If any of the gurus here can shed some light on it I'll be grateful.

Yes you can apply for extension and then vary to ILR on Set(O).

How long has your spouse been in the UK as your dependent?

You would need to apply for tier 2 dependent extension with you but only vary your application. Her application won't be processed until your ILR is granted, so you would have to ask then to hold hers when you vary.

Thanks CR. Can I apply for an extension by post and can book a premium service for ILR after 10 days? or it can only be done by post as well when i vary my application?

Thanks, CR. As long as I don't have to wait for months to get an extension first and similar exercise for PR. I am happy.
