Hi,
I applied for a visit visa to visit my sister in UK last year and made the cardinal mistake of mentioning a stay of 2 months (I hadnt seen her in 10 years). I had more than enough finances to cover my trip. Anyways, understandably, I was refused. A month later, I applied again giving more evidence and again refused. Explanation both times was the officer did not believe I will return. Anyways, a year later, I decided to apply for University postdoctoral research positions (as a scientist) and got several offers and interview calls. I applied again to attend the interviews attaching invitations and offer from these universities to reimburse travel costs. Citing last year, the officer again refused saying he does not believe I will return. Now, I have a job offer after skype interview and the University HR department says they will start Tier 2 paperwork. I want to know how the 3 visit visa refusals will affect the Tier 2. Do I need to hire an immigration lawyer to handle this now? Any help will be appreciated. Regards
