Retained rights of residence is stamped on my passport?

I applied for retained rights of residence after divorce with my wx eu husband. I just did biometrics registration and waiting for the result. I wonder the retained rights of residence visa is stamped on your passport same as eu family residence or a seperate plastic card issued? Because I requested the return of my passport for my personal issue. Anybody help me please. I need my passport back asap but no success so far.
