Is it mandatory to apply for PBS dependent visa for my child

Hi

My husband and I currently hold tier 2 work visas each. Our child was born 3 months ago here in the UK and we have obtained her Indian passport now. My husband will be eligible for ILR in April 2018. Is it mandatory to apply for pbs dependent visa for my child or can I straight away apply for her British citizenship once my husband gets his ILR next April? Is it illegal if my child stays here in the UK without the pbs dependent visa even though she was born here in the UK? We are not planning to travel outside the UK for the next few years.

If you dont plan to travel outside UK until Apr 2018, then there is no need to apply for a dependent visa. It's not mandatory if the child is born in UK.

So, can we register for Uk citizenship for our daughter as soon as my husband gets his ILR in April? Or should we wait for his citizenship which is in 2019?

Can the child also use NHS beyond three months? I am referring to Casa's response in the below post.
