Advice on having two Tier 2 COS

Post by vimalsuresh » Tue Jul 25, 2017 11:04 am

I am on Tier2 visa form a company A. I was told in mid march 2017 that my sponsorship is withdrawn. I still haven't received the curtailment letter. Meanwhile i was issued a COS from sponsor B in May 2017 . I could not apply for the visa as The sponsor B made a blunder in COS , by putting my Employment category in Shortage list. And did not do RLMT. I requested them to cancel this COS and reissue after doing RLMT. They are still in the process of reissue. I am not sure if sponsor B cancelled the earlier COS.
Sponsor B first COS is valid till mid August 2017
Luckily i got job offer from Sponsor C and they are in the process of generating a COS for me.

Question is
1. Will Sponsor C have problem in creating a COS
2. Do I need to tell Sponsor C that there exits a COS in my name from Sponsor B
3. Will I be able to apply for Tier 2 Change of employment visa using Sponsor C COS
4. Do I have to mention to home office about Sponsor B COS in my name.

Please advice me on this , as i am greatly worried.

The guidance says that you can not have more than 1 cos issued to u at one time.
However, in my opinion, it is hard to police and is not checked, i.e., the second cos is not rejected when an employer is trying to issue it to you.
I personally think, if u have not made more contact with employer b, then u should get the the new cos from employer c and apply visa asap

Hi Iworker,
I am in contact with the Sponsor B. Actually they only got one allocation and they used it for the first COS. Now they are in contact with HO for a second allocation so that they can assign it to me. Shall i inform them that I want to withdraw from the process. The reason being I am skeptical if something goes wrong wit Sponsor C issuing me a COS . I would still have Sponsor B t give me a new COS.
What do you suggest.

Thnaks and regards

If i were u, i would not mess around with employer b.. by waiting for them to issue cos and spend another £200.. its a small world and u may have to come back to them in future.
I think you should be fair and straight with all , right now and not wait

Pls continue in your own topic. It is rude to tag onto another members topic with your own question to which you have already received responses.

Hi IWorker,

FYI, Sponsor C had a conflict for issuing me a COS . SMS system said there is already a COS issued in my name.
They contacted me to cancel my Sponsor B 's first COS. I requested them to wait till 5 th aug as it would expire any way.

My question, once the COS expires, will sponsor C have no problem to issue me a COS. Or i have to ask sponsor B to explicitly withdraw my COS.

Please help

Thanks and regards

I personally think, you should be ok once the cos has expired.
