WORK PERMIT HOW TO GET ONE WITH A SPONSOR!

Post by Ella484 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 5:37 pm

Hi,

I was just wondering what would be the easiest way for my partner to come here, he is currently seeking asylum in Germany, and I am a British citizen in the UK. He was an electrician back home in the Gambia. Is there anyway he could come on a tier 2 general work visa and how do we get a persons/company to sponsor him please?

Any help I would be grateful.

VISA ADVICE

Post by Ella484 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 5:43 pm

Hi,

I am a British citizen, and my partner is originally from the Gambia, though he is seeking asylum in Germany currently.

I am getting carers allowance and a private pension of 145 pounds per month, - in short; I am 20 pounds short from meeting the matching income support allowance of aprox 116 per week for a couple. So, I am looking for a part time job at the moment, we are not married and nor have we lived together for two years concurrently because of the situation. I think because I get carers allowance I do not have to meet the threshold of 18,600 per annum but only need to have adequate support for ourselves.

What would be the best way for him to come here please? Either on a UK spouse or fiancee visa; or try and get a tier 2 general visa work permit via sponsorship.

Any help on what would be best would be appreciated.

Thanks.

He would have to apply for jobs with sponsors on the sponsor list, see link below. He likely wouldn't be able from Germany if he does not have legal residence in Germany.

Below link is the code of practice, so you would have to look to see where in the scheme of things electrician fits in, this is assuming he is a qualified electrician and wireman and has the evidence to prove it, IF he can get sponsorship for this level of work.

I have moved your topics to the General Immigration sub forum as you can't ask all visa questions a single visa specific sub forum.

You need to focus on one route and work towards that.

Unlikely he will get a sponsor to be honest, it is not as easy as it sounds.
