Dear all,
I booked an appointment to apply for ILR under Tier 2(General) category on 08/08/2017. My tier 2(General) started on 31/08/2012, however my previous Tier 1(PSW) visa expired on 02/08/2012. I submitted a postal Tier 2 application on 01/08/2012, i.e one day before the expiry date of my previous Tier 1 visa and it got approved on 31/08/2012, so I was waiting for HO's decision between 03/08/2012-30/08/2012.My question is I lost the receipt to show my Tier 2 application was sent before the expiry date of my Tier 1(PSW), so I cannot prove the gap between 03/08/2012 and 30/08/2012 was HO's decision time and during that time I was still working for the current company. So what should I do now? I do have a reference number when I received the letter on 31/08/2012, could HO use that number to check if they received my application form before the expiry of my previous visa? Do i need to provide a covering letter to explain this gap though I do not have evidence?
