SPOUSE VISA FROM INDIA- PROCESSING TIME?

Hello everyone,
I have applied my wife and son's settlement visa from Mumbai India and have just recieved the original documents back from sheffield on Friday. Does anyone know how long does it takes for decision to be made?

online application submit biometrics 23 feb priority
document sent to shefield 26 feb
doucment come back from she field 2 march
20 march conformation email from shefield your application currently being prepaid for
considerations by an entry clearance officer
call after 30 working days to check the status
17 apr got email from uvki say accept our apology we are still doing additional checks which extend the process time ,as soon we complete our check we let you know outcome of the application .paid extra 563 pounds look like waste the money

Application submitted: 17 FEB Chandigarh PRIORITY VISA
Documents reached Sheffield : 26th FEB
27 March email saying application being prepared for consideration
30 March : Visa Refused.
