TIER 1 ENTREPRENEUR VISA

Post by nandini22 » Sun Jul 16, 2017 5:16 am

Hi. I would be applying for tier 1 visa from India. The fixed depsoit account consists of the required funds necessary for the visa. However the account is on AUTO RENEWAL. Therefore, the bank letter just states that new start date of the FD's and maturity date for the same. However on paper, the mentioned date doesnt sum up to 90 days.
But in order to prove that the FD's have been intact for more than 4 months, I have also attached bank statements to the FD's that clearly show the original start date of the FD's which is obviously more than 90 days.

Would this lead to refusal of my visa? i would really appreciate if someone could answer the aforementioned question as soon as possible as I am on the verge of sending in my application.

thanks

As you probably saw, the requirement states that the bank letter needs to include the following detail (among others):

the minimum balance available from your own funds (if applicable) that has been held in that institution during a consecutive 90-day period of time, ending on the date of the letter;

While you could try with the additional statements, since they are not from UK Banks, they may not be accepted. While there is no way of being definitive whether it will be accepted or refused, the chances of refusal are high.

The letter does not have to list the FD numbers, it just has to say the money has been in the bank for 90 days. If you had the FDs in the same bank, they should be able to make that statement.
If they insist that they can only mention FDs, then have them include the expired FDs also in the letter.

Two other options are, of course:
- Wait for these deposits to reach 90 days
- Since it seems like it was recently renewed, request the bank to give you a letter dated on the expiry date of the earlier FD

thank you for your quick response. I really appreciate it.

My bank letter clearly states that the funds have been held for more than 90 days. Also, the bank statements are from the same bank, hence they have given all the statements since the money has been in fixed deposit account.

would that be sufficient?

thanks

Have you checked https://www.gov.uk/visa-processing-times ? It looks like most of them are processed in about two weeks, all of them in two months.

Hi
Processing times depends on paper work you have submitted. If your paper work is straightforward and completely satisfies the requirements, your result will be in less than 15 days. If they need any clarifications they might want to interview you, in that case it may take up to 30 days. Please note these processing time estimates are suggested based on the link in above reply.
Better be prepared for interview. Read all threads related to applications outside UK for better understanding of the process.

Good luck

so does this mean that an interview is mandatory? also if they do decide to take an interview, would that be after the stipulated 15 day period?

There is no fixed processing time. You are very likely will be interviewed. No one can tell you how long it takes for your application to be processed :!:

Dear nandini22,
As zimba88 mentioned in the above post there are no set out timelines to decide the applications. How ever guidance timings works out in most cases unless there is some bad quality paper work or very complex issue. So there is no point chasing up the processing times (my personal opinion). Better thing to do is spending your time on preparing for the interview using the experiences mentioned by other members in other threads (again "my personal opinion").
