Applying for FLR (M) before 28 days

Post by Deejo89 » Wed Aug 02, 2017 11:27 am

Hi,
Please help and its quite an urgent query as I have already booked for a Same Day Appointment - UK SPOUSE VISA EXTENSION for my wife and kids.

Scenario:
[*]I hold a British Passport.
[*]My wife got her first UK SPOUSE VISA from India valid between 15-Jan-2015 and 13-Oct-2017 (33 months)
[*]She stayed in India because she was pregnant with twins who were born in Aug'2015.
[*]She travelled to UK for the first time only on 2-Aug-2016 along with my kids.
[*]My kids were given Mother dependent visa valid till 13-Oct-2017.

Now, I had to anyways renew her Spouse Visa twice before she could be eligible for ILR.

In order to travel to India this month, we have booked for a same day appointment on 07-Aug-2017 to renew the spouse visa which is earlier than 28 days before its expiry on 13-Oct-2017.

Please share your thoughts whether I can go ahead with this appointment (or) if its risky then I will reschedule to a later date.

Thanks in advance!

It is fine, you can simply write a covering letter that you are applying early due to family holiday abroad.

Don't forget to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge if you haven't done so already.

Thanks CR001 for your quick response!

[*]I am planning to submit only the last 6 months payslips (online payslips attested by our payroll dept) and last 6 months of bank statements (attested by bank). Do we need 12 months of these documents or is 6 months enough?

[*]Whom should we address to in the covering letter?

[*]Should we mention any reason for the family trip?

Thanks

6 months for both is fine.
[*]Whom should we address to in the covering letter?
UK Visas and Immigration
To whom it may concern
[*]Should we mention any reason for the family trip?
You are allowed to travel, you don't have to justify it. Simply state a family holiday to home country to visit whoever it is you are visiting.

Hi there - can I ask - did you succeed with this route in applying early?

Thanks
Richard
