ILR Child applicant British Citizen mother from outside the

Hi I need information please. I have a British passport and am British by decent. I was born in South Africa so the pass of citizenship ends with me. My child, also born in South Africa needs a visa in order to join me in the UK. On the ILR visa application it only asks for a UK address and not my current one here in South Africa, do they mean where we are going to be living when we get there. What biometric screening do they do for 3 year olds and would we need to do that at an approved visa place here in South Africa. Also where do you explain your compelling reason for the child to join me when I move to the UK? And besides the section on the form, is there any other form the financial sponsor would have to fill in? Besides the SET(f) what else do I need to fill in? I have the list of supporting documents. Just need to know if it's just that form. Also if I do not have the funds to pay the visa, does this visa have a waiver like I have seen on others or not? You cannot apply for ILR from outside the UK.

You have to apply for a Child Settlement Visa on form VAF4A and Appendix 1. You will have to pay the fee of £1464 PLUS the £600 Immigration Health Surcharge (which might be refunded if the child is granted ILE - Indefinite Leave to Enter). There is no fee waiver for visa applications outside the UK.

When did that change because my sister's child got one when she left in 2014 from South Africa and my sisters circumstances were exactly the same as mine? On the immigration information it states either parent, family member settled or parent being admitted at the same time.

Ok so I just asked my sister she definitely got the indefinite leave to enter/remain for her child while still in South Africa with my grandparents as sponsors. The form you suggested is if I was settled before 2012 and hasn't been updated since then. It also says if you have trouble applying online from outside the UK, I don't have trouble with that at all. When I go through the advice and questions on the gov.uk website it leads to family visa or indefinite leave to remain visa for my child and I'm assuming since my sister fit the criteria so do I. I was just wondering if there are additional information I need to add etc not which one. Thank you but I will ask the UK Visa and immigration office and find out and let you know what they say.

ILR - can ONLY be applied within the UK.

ILE - can ONLY be applied outside the UK, usually only granted to children of British citizens or a person who already holds ILR.
