Get Tier 2 General visa sponsored and work for other client

I know a UK tier 2 General Sponsor who said he'll apply a COS for me and get a Work permit for me. Once I get the Visa and enter UK he said he'll place me in a permanent job with a client. Is this Legal?
I'm worried on this because he never said I would be working for him but work for the end-client and will have to pay his share.

Also, he said that on P-45, employer's name would be Client's name and not his company's name. NI too will be taken care by end-client.

Is this the correct process?

Has he asked you to pay for a CoS?

What does he mean by 'will have to pay his share'? Does he mean take a percentage of your monthly income?

On a Tier 2 General, you are ONLY permitted to work and be on the payroll of your sponsor.

What 'he' is proposing is illegal. It is you working for an umbrella company and unlikely that you will progress and be successful with either an extension or ILR.
