Does home office conduct credit check for Spouse visa appl

Hi all,
I have 2.5 years discretionary leave till end of 2018. I have recently applied for change of visa category to Spouse visa. After sending the application I came to know that I have a CCJ due to non payment of debt. I moved to a new address 1.5 years ago and CCJ is issued 4 months ago at my previous address. I genuinely had no knowledge of CCJ so while filling in the form i ticked No to CCJs.

I am worried now what will happen when they find out? How seriously do they take debt matters and relevant CCJs. To what extent Home Office carry out the checks in spouse visa applications. I know they do extensive checks in nationality and indefinite leave applications.

Any help will be appreciated please.

Unlikely. But if you have a CCJ for example, you should declare it and should be paying it off.
