English Language Requirement for Undergrads

Dear Members,
I am very confused about English language requirement for British Citizenship. My daughter is in her second year of BSC in a university in the UK. I want to apply for her citizenship this year when she completes her 5 years of ILE. When she joined the Uni, she submitted het IELTS certificate to prove her English proficiency. The certificate has expired for the purpose of BC. My question is does she need to pass her English test again to apply for her BC or can she take a letter from her University that she is studying there?

P.S When she got her ILE, she was only 15 so she did not need to pass her English test.

Undergrad studies don't count for the English language requirement, before daughter receives degree. B1 test is required, as she didn't have to prove it for prior immigration application.

If you are British, you could have applied for her after she had 2 years residence and before she turned 18.

Unfortunately, she did not qualify under this rule. She needed to be in the country for 2 years to qualify and that too before she turned 16. I believe the 2 years rule does not automatically apply to children over 16 and it's only discretionary.

The two year rule applies to all applicants under the age of 18 who apply on form MN1 to register as British whose parent is British or applying at the same time. Regardless of age, a section 3(1) application is always at discretion.

Why do you think it is 16??
