Fiancé visa question

Post by Hope-123 » Sat Aug 05, 2017 6:54 pm

Hello all!

I am in need of some help regarding our visa!!
My fiancé and I applied for the fiancé visa back in April and were granted the visa in may.

I've been in the UK ever since, planning our wedding for September. My fiancé is having a rough time at work and they might let him go next month which would be the month we get married. My question is, how is this going to effect our next visa?? Will we still be able to apply for it?? Also, do I apply from within the uk and how soon after we get married do I have to apply for it??

Thank you all for the help! We are very stressed about this because we spent so much money and time apart that we cannot imagine going through it again!

Your partner needs to be employed and submit the same evidence for your next visa as they had to submit for the fiance visa, 6 months recent payslips and 6 months recent corresponding bank statements etc.

You can apply WITHIN the UK on form FLR(M) as soon as you are married, either by post or in person for a same day decision.

I believe the sponsor is the OP....

cup of tea time Char...

@Hope-123 you must ensure you apply for your spouse's FLR(M) visa before the Fiance visa expires.

Thank you for the advise!! I hope it doesn't come to him being let go but you never know with his company

I guess we will have to just not have a wedding and get married when our notice comes...

As for the spouse visa, would I need any documents other then everything I put together for our first visa plus marriage certificate, wedding photos, etc...

You need to follow the requirements that HO wish to see as detailed in the FLR(M) form.
