Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 general- pros and cons

Suggestions​/Comments needed for the following situations:
One week back I came to UK from big it service company and placed as contractor​ in renowned financial organisations.
Current visa is Tier 2 ICT long term. Cos is for one year and may extend depending upon work.

Now since I wanted to stay here little longer.
I was exploring the general tier 2 company because I I don't have to serve Colling off period within 3 months.
But not sure if I will get good sponsor and looking at the at the complexity in tier 2 general visa process ,
Will it be my right decision​ to leave current sponsor and go to new tier 2 general sponsor ?
Second point is -
I am also preparing my wife as teacher to get tier 2 general sponsor for her so that I can work as dependent .
Now my doubt is - which option will be wise one ?
1. Leaving the current one and go with new general tier 2 sponsor if I get ?
2. Continue with current tier 2 sponsor and work for wife to find tier 2 general for her

Not an immediate option since you will have to serve a cool-off of 12 months before applying for a Tier 2 General visa.

2. Continue with current tier 2 sponsor and work for wife to find tier 2 general for her
Your wife has to work towards finding a sponsor for her (not you). This could be an option if she can find a sponsor and her visa application is successful.
