Non married spouse visa

Post by Wab13 » Sun Aug 06, 2017 10:14 am

Hi all,

Sorry I am sure this is all covered between threads. I am starting to look at this visa type.

I am sure I qualify for this visa type, been in a relationship for 3 years, live together, hes a British citizen by birth, about 30£k+ in savings totalled between us in separate bank accounts.

I am currently on a tier 2 general with my job, although am keen to look for an alternative employment, don't anticipate any difficulty finding work. The visa expires in 2020. He is on a year long rolling contract, even though they won't put him on a permanent contract as it's a charity, his job is stable.

I am trying to make sense of the fees involved in this visa? Will I have to repay the NHS levy?

Has anyone had personal experience with this? What documents you provided to proove relationship: photos, flights etc?

I am heading to my home country in December for a wedding, would I have to make to application foreign home, if so teeing this up with these December dates?

Have you lived together for at least 2 years and have rock solid evidence to prove it? You didn't answer this in your other thread either.
I am currently on a tier 2 general with my job, although am keen to look for an alternative employment, don't anticipate any difficulty finding work. The visa expires in 2020. He is on a year long rolling contract, even though they won't put him on a permanent contract as it's a charity, his job is stable.
Either of you must meet the financial requirement of £18,600pa and ongoing employment.
I am trying to make sense of the fees involved in this visa? Will I have to repay the NHS levy?
As already mentioned in your other thread, it is £993 for a postal application OR £1583 for an in person same day decision appointment. In addition to the fees, you also have to pay £500 immigration health surcharge for the first 2.5 year visa.
Has anyone had personal experience with this? What documents you provided to proove relationship: photos, flights etc?
Read page 63/64 of the FLR(M) form to get an idea of what HO expect to see regarding evidence of 'living together in a relationship akin to marriage' plus 6 months payslips, 6 months bank statements and adequate accommodation proof.
I am heading to my home country in December for a wedding, would I have to make to application foreign home, if so teeing this up with these December dates?
As I have already stated twice in your other topic, you can apply to switch WITHIN the UK.
