UK General Tier 2 Dependant English requirement

Hello.

I am working as a researcher with General Tier 2 visa. I will be married soon and we want to apply for my wife's visa as soon as possible within Tier2 General Dependant.

She will not be working in the UK for a while, she needs to improve her language when she arrives.

Does she need to provide an English Language test for General Tier 2 Dependant visa?


Here in the General Tier 2 application page, there is a tab for the dependant (Page 8 - Family members):

There is no mention of English language requirements. Also I checked Guidance for dependants of UK visa applicants page, which is below. Again there is no mention of English Language requirement for the dependant.

Could somebody please confirm that based on your knowledge and experience?
