Spouse Visa to TIER 2 Visa after Relationship Failure

Post by govindnoisrohit » Mon Aug 07, 2017 9:14 am

Hi Everyone

I was in spouse visa from past two years. It was valid till June 2017 but my relationship took an ugly turn and we got split. Since my relationship was no longer existing i decided to move from UK back to my country in May 2017.

I used to work as a software engineer, My company after they came to know about my situation they agreed to sponsor me. Next week i will receive my Certificate of sponsorship and while filling up the form online i am confused with two questions and would need help.

First one:

Have you been deported, removed or otherwise required to leave any country including the UK in the last 10 years?(Yes/No)
I notified Home Office in March regarding my relationship failure but didn't hear from them hence i left UK in May. So do i answer No?

Second one:
Have you ever voluntarily elected to depart the UK?(Yes/No)
I notified Home Office in March regarding my relationship failure but didn't hear from them hence i left UK in May. So do i answer No?

Would really appreciate help here.

Regards

Both are not applicable to you if you left when your visa was still valid. The questions are for those who have/had no leave to remain and are overstayers.

For info, it is your spouse in the UK's responsibility to inform HO on the prescribed form that the relationship has broken down.

Re tier 2, hopefully your employer has done the full and proper RLMT to prove you have not been 'pre selected' for the job.
