Visitor Visa by sponsor with spouse visa

Post by Lomi44 » Tue Aug 08, 2017 9:33 am

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can help. I am currently on a 2.5 years spouse visa and I want to sponsor my parent's visitor visa (2 year option).
The problem I foresee is that my parent's 2 year visitor visa period would run out a few weeks after my current spouse visa expires. I am of course applying for another spouse visa as my wife is BC so is my daughter but I was wondering if the visitor visa can be refused on these grounds.

Thank you in advance.

Two completely separate visa routes, neither dependent on the other.

thank you for the prompt reply.
my worry is that they might say, we are refusing the visitor visa because the sponsor's current visa expires before the visitor visa if we were to issue it now (my visa exp june19)

if i'm not mistaken, you are saying that this wouldn't be the case?

thanks

Your parents must meet the requirements of a visit visa themselves.
