BRP LOST AND URGENT TRAVEL IN 2 WEEKS

Post by sham1982 » Thu Aug 10, 2017 10:22 am

Hi

my husband has indefinite leave to remain and we have lost is BRP card. I have applied for a replacement but i dont think i will get it before we are due to travel.

My mother in law has has a stroke and her health is getting worse.

ive spoken to Home office and they have said that because all the details are on the system there shouldn't be a problem with my husband returning to UK but it all depends on the Immigration officer that does the checks on our return.

Has anyone has a similar situation and what advice can anyone give??

He might not have a problem getting into the UK, but what will he present to the airline to prove he can travel to the UK (they need original documents)?

Thanks for replying..

We have a copy of his BRP card and also a letter that the MP has written as it was them that spoke to Home office on my behalf.

I know we need original documents but in the current situation i havent got a choice.
