Change of Employer before joining the previous employer

Can we change employer in visa documents before joining the previous employer (not visited to UK yet) ? Does it require altogether new visa application (including cost) or its a amendment in the issued visa?

Kindly advise.

What exactly do you mean?

Tier 2 General is an employer specific visa, it is not transferable to another employer.

Have you applied and been granted a visa for X employer but now want to change to a completely different employer Y?

If yes, it is a whole new visa application and fees plus IHS fee.
