Tax credits MUST be claimed in joint names and all household income declared in CTC & WTC applications.
Child Benefit should be claimed in your wife's name only.

Post by Phone » Mon Aug 14, 2017 10:10 pm

Hello..
Which way my status go in 2020..
My wife has been issued blue card by home office in july 2012
Since then she has been employed.. full time/part time
Except from 2015/2016.. about 18 months she did not work.. but we did not claim any benefits during that time
Plz advise me ....
Will the above gap be a problem ... or is it ok... she is doing part time job now..

How would anyone on the forum know why your tax credits were stopped

Phone the tax credit department.

A mortgage has nothing to do with Immigration rules or EU rules and this isn't the forum to ask about buying property. You either qualify for a mortgage and have the deposit and earnings or you don't.
