Spouse visa extension employment letter?

My Wife's 'First period of leave to remain' spouse visa is due to expire in October 2017, and as per rule states, I will be making the application for an FLR(M) extention approximately 28 days before via the one-day service.

My question is regarding the new english requirement. Her first FLR(M) application made in October 2014 was based on an IELTS (which she sat at a UK Approved test centre) British council lahore pakistan dated 28/03/14 in which she scored an Overall Band Score 5.5 (B1/B2 equivalence I'm assuming). This is now past its 2 years validity...so can we use old english test ?

why there is no clear answer regarding english test?

Thank you very much Mr CR001 for yr Advise, But i heard new law been introduce since may 2017...u must have 2 pass A2 for extension, my wife done ilet in 2014 from british coucil pakistan lahore and band 5.5 wich is consider B2 i think on her first application....to do again level A2 it doesn't make sense because B2 is higher then A2....Im so confused

B2 is higher than A2.

A2 was change brought in in May 2017 yes, but most previous applicants did A1 for their initial visa so now have to do the new test for extension.

Thanks mr CR001...I really appreciate u replied....but my wife done ilets with band 5.5 wich consider b2 from British council lahore pakistan and its higher then A2 so does she have to pass the A2 test again? and can we use the old test for extension?

it says u can rely on previous test if ur application has been successful....so what u recommend in our situation?

My sister's extension is due in November 17 and she's taking her A2 Life skills test in couple of weeks. She does have an IELTS General training with 7.0 band which she used for her previous application but since previous IELTS result does not have a unique UKVI number on her test results (changes which were implemented since 6th April 2015) they are not risking her application and taking new A2 test.

Nobody can tell you to take the new test or use the previous result. It's your interpretation of the rules.

yes checked only abt english test....even 2day i called to home office...and i been advise we can rely on old english test if its above or the same level of A2 And if ur application was approved....but i called few solicitors aswell evry1 advising me to do the test again for safe side...we can but its just hassle u knw...i knew one lady she got refused her extension because she was relying on old english test wich was A1 and required is A2...so that was latest updated from side i thought i should share with u guys may be it help some one else.

Page 63/64 for documents plus appendix FM.

You need to do some of the reading and research yourself. It is your application at the end of the day.

You require all the same sort of evidence as what you did when you initially applied.
