I am from non-EU / UK country , currently on Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa and completed 1 Year stay. I am looking for ILR options in UK. Due to cooling off period restriction I can't switch to Tier 2 General Visa. So I am looking to work from Europe and after serving one year cooling off period in Europe I find another employer in UK who can sponsor Tier 2 General Visa and switch to Tier 2 General.
1. Do I have to serve the cooling off period in home country only for me to apply for Tier 2 General after 1 year? My understanding is I will lose my ICT status if I migrate to Europe and serve 1 year in Europe and I can then apply for Tier 2 General from Europe in 1 year time.
2. As I have visa for another 4 years on ICT, can I still apply for Tier 2 General in UK after working for an year in Europe. Will there be any restriction to complete 5 Years on ICT VIsa to apply for Tier 2 General?
3. Is this a viable / good option for switching to Tier 2 General and eventually get ILR.
4. Could there be any impact of Brexit on above plan
