Previous refused application impact

Post by Mamacita1410 » Sat Aug 19, 2017 10:15 pm

Good evening all,

I'd like to know how much affect a previous visa refusal has on the next application?

My boyfriend (Egyptian) and I (British) applied in 2016 for a Marriage visa. Our plan at the time was for him to come over for *less that 6 months* and we'd get married, he'd met my family, we'd have a little holiday etc; he'd live with my in my rented apartment, I was working earning 20k so enough to cover everything for both of us. The plan which we explained in great detail was that after this we would both be returning to Egypt to live there permanently. As you may have guessed they didn't believe us and refused it. So after the refusal I went to live there anyhow and since then I've returned to the UK (couldn't take the heat, couldn't find a good job) and we're going to get married on my next holiday there, and then apply for the Spouse visa.

How much will that first refusal go against us? Will they look through the entire previous application again? Will I have to explain in endless amounts of detail why the idea was to live there and now the idea is to live here baked up by proof I have to pull out my behind? ;)

Any advice much appreciated.

Ideas, plans, arrangements can change from time to time as your previous refusal won't affect new application which will be dealt with new documents and information. Application usually only be affected due to bad immigration history etc.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
