Child benefits - Mother still on visa

Hello There,

Can any body let me know whether we can apply for child benefits or not, my situation is as explained below

My husband is a British citizen, he is working as a contractor
he is sponsoring me and I am still on Flr(m) visa
we have a 9 months old child who is a British citizen
we are in a dilemma whether we can apply for child benefits or not if we apply whether it would have any impact on my future ILR application. Please share your thoughts.

If he's a contractor in IT he'll earn too much to claim anything.

Can claim CB but it's clawed back in tax so no point.

From memory it's about £50k ie the benefit received start being recovered by increased taxation.

Based on total individual income I believe, ie salary and/or Dividends.

Hardly worth the hassle for £90 or so, you accountant may well charge that for the extra work doing tax returns!
