Tier 2 dependent en route to ILR

Post by sliyk » Wed Aug 23, 2017 1:29 pm

Hi,
This is a question regarding my wife's status. She came to the UK in November 2013 as my Tier 2 dependent. She remained my Dependent until August 2015 when she gained her own Tier 2 Visa. In the future when she is to go for her ILR application, can the time as my Tier 2 dependent be included?

Thanks.

No it cannot, not for ILR based on 5 years residence. She needs either 5 years as PBS Dependent OR 5 years as main Tier 2 General visa holder. She cannot combine the time from different visa categories to make up 5 years. It is only possible to combine for ILR based on long residence.
