ILR Elgiblity

Post by indwom2018 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 5:40 pm

Hi,

I am currently in Tier 2 General with my wife. I am the main applicant and I have first come to UK in 20/Oct/2012 through tier 2 general but my Visa stamping valid from 10/Oct/2012 and my wife travelled in mid of Nov 2012.

Can you please clarify which date I am eligible to apply ILR application ?

How the ILR eligibility will be calculated? Is it from the date of Stamping/ on the day of Landing to UK?

Thanks

For Tier 2 General main visa holder (you), it is from date of stamping.

For your wife as a dependent, it is from date of ENTRY to the UK.

Why not keep it simple and apply together on one form when your wife meets the requirement within 28 days of the 5 anniversary of the date she entered the UK?

Thanks CR001 for you reply.

As my Visa is expiring this year end and not many days when my wife meets her Ilr eligblity. So i want to apply first then for my wife.

Am I eligible to log application after 13/Sep/2017? and Does my wife eligblile to log the application before 28 days if we apply applications on differnt dates? (Her 5 years stay in UK is completing in mid of Nov2017)

Yes you can apply separately. Her ILR will only succeed if your ILR is approved.
