ILR SET(LR) Premium Service Appointment Slots Questions

Hello everyone,

I have put myself in a sticky situation by my shortsighted thinking that ILR premium service appointments are easily available - only now when I went on to book one, I realised the scarcity of it. I was hoping to get an appointment on 11th September - but I see that there are literally 5 appointments left in the next 45 days amongst ALL the centres! And the earliest being 3rd October. I am currently on a student visa - while I nearly finished my masters degree, I am unable to get a full time job with my current visa. My current visa expires in January next year, so that's not a problem. But supporting myself for even longer period while being unemployed is quite difficult for me. As a result I am desperate to have a better understanding on how the appointment booking system works. My preferred centre is Croydon but I am willing to go to any centre. Please anyone help me by answering the following questions -

1. Do HO release new appointment slots on a daily or weekly basis?

2. If they do, will these appointment slots be 45 days away from the date of release or can they open up new appointment slots say 10 days from now?

3. If I now, for example, book the appointment on 3rd October - and then keep checking and see that a new appointment slot opened up which is earlier than 3rd of October, will I be allowed to reschedule to the earlier date?

4. How likely is it that new slots open up due to cancellation by others? I would imaging it would be very rare, since you have to pay the full fee at the time of booking - but just wondering how likely it is.

5. Any advise anyone can give me as to what can I do to get an earlier appointment or what my best course of action should be?

I had similar issue last week when booking it.

I think the main reason is that, it is the peak season for ILR application (10 years) as most people start as student 10 years ago and September is when they come to UK.

It appears that new slots will be released at midnight but they will be gone very soon, currently you could only get an appointment at 45 days in advance (lastest possible) it seems due to demand, and standard slot seems to be gone in minutes.(only very early time got left)

When it's not peak season (like in July), one could book an appointment just a few days in advance.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have also seen new slots open up for 10th October now after midnight.

I understand new slots will be opening up everyday at midnight. But is there any possibility to get an earlier date? Is there any chance that an earlier date slot will open?

Secondly, If I book a slot now for, say 10th October - then am I allowed to reschedule if an earlier slot do open up?

Its just, I budgeted to support myself for the period of my masters degree - degree is finished, I am ready to start work - budgeted money is nearly at its end. Will be in a bit of trouble if I have to wait until October to start work.

Yes it is possible to reschedule an appointment. However, there are some conditions around rescheduling, especially if you reschedule nearer to the appointment date.

Bro check book any day appointment whatever is coming during 45 days and you can change and cancel read the guidance
and keep checking the appointment early in the morning between 7:30 to 9:00 some appointment available on daily basis as i saw today someone cancelled for 14th September in croydon if you knew you could have booked that one ...

Hi same mistake i made ... I am now trying to make appointments but no appointments are available in next 45 days ... everywhere getting the same message -->

"We do not have any appointments in the next 45 business days at your selected location. You can change your location and search again."

Check after midnight and during early morning.

once you book it, you can reschedule it.

it is currently fully booked due to the " september " fact like someone else mentioned and also because many of the EU people also apply for ILR due to brexit.

Nonsense, this has nothing to do with premium appointment availability. EU citizenships and EEA Family are NOT able to apply for PR (ILR) in person. They can only apply post.

A new tool which sends email notifications to London Office came to picture. Its free for now, just register create a notification with start and end date of your availability and you will get emails when new slots are available.

Not sure what your affiliation is with the weblink you posted but i strongly suggest you read the forum rules again and familiarise yourself about only posting official HO links.

The link you posted refers to UKBA, which has not existed under this name since 2013.
