Tier 2 Cooling off

Post by spdatta13mar » Wed Aug 30, 2017 3:41 pm

Hi,

I was in UK and had a Tier 2 ICT visa valid till 19th October 2016.
I left UK on 10th October 2016.
I applied for Tier 4 dependent visa on returning to my home country which was approved on (VISA Stamp Date) 25th Oct 2016 and returned to UK on Tier 4 dep visa on 1st Nov 2016.
However UKVI had given my Tier 4 dependent BRP start date as 19th Oct 2016.

Now I am applying for Tier 2 general visa in country,

1) Can you please let me know when is the earliest date I can go for PEO appointment considering my 12 month cooling off period? - Not sure which date I should consider?
2) What evidence do I need to provide to show my cooling off period?

Thanks for your help.

It is the date you left the UK in October that starts the clock.
2) What evidence do I need to provide to show my cooling off period?
Entry stamp at home country, flight ticket, boarding pass. But likely not required.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any requirement that my company had to inform UKVI about me leaving UK on 10th Oct 2016 from ICT sponsorship point of view because when I came back on Nov, I continued to work for them on my tier 4 dependent visa.

What am trying to ask is whether them informing UKVI has anything to do with my cooling off period?

thanks

Yes but proof is not needed if you have a stamp in your passport.
