Does Extension applied before expiry of visa amount to overstay? Please help

Hi,

My ICT visa would expire in few days and I have applied for ICT extension almost 3 weeks before expiry date and completed bio-metric in post office and waiting for new BRP, would this be any issue if I stay in UK beyond expiry date and till my new BRP comes or is it considered as overstay?

Please advise.
