hello
I am posting on behalf of a friend who needs to make an application with no current status she is married to a british man and they have a child. 2year old who is also british. she recently met a lawyer who advised flr fp parent route. From reading experiences here i thought it is the flr fp partner route she should be applying under.
please can someone help to clarify which form she should use?
many thanks

Partner route only as she is living with her spouse and in a subsisting relationship.
Parent route is for parents who are bot in a relationship with the childs other parent.
What is the friends immigration history and what visa did she enter the uk on?
How long has she been in the UK?

Thank you so much.
She came here when she was 15 as a dependant of her parents. She lost status when she was about 16 when her parents student visa got denied. Her parents finally got a 10yr route to settlement visa(through her British brother 10yrs old) but by then she was older so couldn't be their dependant anymore. She tried to regularise her stay in 2009 and 2013(flr o) but was denied on the basis that she could go back to her country of origin and stay there with her husband no insurmountable situations. She can't go back as she came here as a minor and her parents and siblings all are here on route to settle. She has no family in the country she holds nationality for as she got it because her mum is a citizen of that country.
Now she is 28 married for 5yrs with her husband and son who are British. She's been here for 13yrs
Grateful for your time and clarification.
Am I correct in saying the application form is currently the same, it's only that an applicant would need to tick the box with the category they are applying under which in this case would be partner route? Again, thank you for your response.

Please start your own topic with your circumstances and questions, particularly as your lasts posts relate to the EEA route ROR and you likely have a change in circumstances if you are asking about FLR(FP).
