Parent UK Visit Visa Questions

Post by parentsukvisit » Thu Sep 07, 2017 5:17 am

Hello Experts

You have always been helpful to me in past, Thank you very much, I need your awsome help again please

I am a british citizen now, working full time in UK for a private firm since 2011 also getting some child benefit (CB) & child tax credits (CTC) as well. I am planning to sponsor my parents from Pakistan for a UK visit.

1. While sponsoring I understand I need to submit 6 months payslips and employer letter, while assessing my income and expendetures and my suitability to sponsor, will the visa officer also consider CB & CTC as my income. I have three childern and my wife does not work.

2. My wages comes in an account but I dont have over 1000 pounds as balance there, but I have my childern savings account where I have enough balance and the money is readily available can I submit my childern bank statements (my three children are all under 7 and I am depositing amounts three on monthly basis) will this be acceptable by visa officer.

3. Do I need to book the air ticket in advance before we apply the visa or after that.

4. In terms of showing my parents social, economic, financial and family circumstances and ties with pakistan what specific documents should they need to submit please

5. To get a property assessment report, does it need to be from local estate agent or local council please?

Looking forward to hear from you soon, thank you for reading and your replies

You seem to be confusing the requirements of a visitor visa with those of a settlement visa.

When you say 'sponsor', what exactly are your sponsoring them for?

How long are they planning to visit?
1. While sponsoring I understand I need to submit 6 months payslips and employer letter, while assessing my income and expendetures and my suitability to sponsor, will the visa officer also consider CB & CTC as my income. I have three childern and my wife does not work.

Where does it state that it is mandatory to submit 6 months of the sponsors payslips for a visit visa application? CB & CTC are benefits, not income.

Your children are not sponsor, so why would you submit bank statements in their names??? Where does it state you as the sponsor must have over £1000 in a bank account??
3. Do I need to book the air ticket in advance before we apply the visa or after that.
No. UKVI website clearly states that you should not book airline tickets unless you have an approved visa.
4. In terms of showing my parents social, economic, financial and family circumstances and ties with pakistan what specific documents should they need to submit please
Bank statements, employment letters, payslips, property documents, family ties etc etc
5. To get a property assessment report, does it need to be from local estate agent or local council please?
Where does it state you need this for a visitor visa??
Char (CR001 not Casa)

I am planing to sponsor (Declaring myself that I will be responsible for their accommodation, travel, food, medicine if needed, or any other expenses which my incur while they are in UK) my parents for UK Visit Visa.

How long are they planning to visit?
one month
1. While sponsoring I understand I need to submit 6 months payslips and employer letter, while assessing my income and expendetures and my suitability to sponsor, will the visa officer also consider CB & CTC as my income. I have three childern and my wife does not work.

I have not seen anywhere but have heard from people who sponsor their parents in past that 6 months payslips are required, I guess this is recommended although it does not state anywhere on UKVI web page,
The reason why I was asking question about CB & CTC, I have heard from friends that the visa officer will do the calculations that If I have enough income to support myself, family and my visitor. So by looks of your replies I am under the impression that income does not matter really please clarify?

I understand my children are not the sponsor but I have money in their saving account, at the end of the day that is a family savings, Shall I transfer that savings in my own account?
Regarding 1000 pounds I have heard that there should be enough savings/money to sponsor a visitor please clarify
3. Do I need to book the air ticket in advance before we apply the visa or after that.
No. UKVI website clearly states that you should not book airline tickets unless you have an approved visa.

Thank you for clarifying
4. In terms of showing my parents social, economic, financial and family circumstances and ties with pakistan what specific documents should they need to submit please
Bank statements, employment letters, payslips, property documents, family ties etc etc

Thank you
5. To get a property assessment report, does it need to be from local estate agent or local council please?
Where does it state you need this for a visitor visa??

I am sorry if could not ask properly, I meant by property assessment report was adequate accomodation, that I have enough space available for my visitor to stay comfirtably and the house will not be over crowded.
