Spouse visa appeal: Timelines and reason/s for refusal

Post by Appeal32011 » Sat Sep 09, 2017 9:10 am

Dear all,

I'm starting this new thread to create a platform for people going through the appeal process. I am particularly interested in hearing about people's timelines and reason/s for refusal, but participants can of course discuss other issues relating to the appeal process. I was refused for overstaying and undertaking a university degree. Please see my timeline below:

Online application: April 5 2017

Biometric appointment: April 13 2017

Visa refused: July 10 2017

Appeal lodged and sent to tribunal: July 21 2017

Notice of appeal of pending appeal to HO: Aug 29 2027

Any idea as to how long it takes to get a date of hearing, if appeal is not overturned by the home office?

As spouse visa refusals (or any visa refusal) are situation specific, a general 'free for all to post' topic is not a solution, very difficult to moderate and as history has shown in the past, these topics quickly become completely off topic, full of low level chit chat, run into 100's of pages and very confusing for anyone trying to read it.

Suggest post your exact circumstances for specific advice. Also, take the time to read the forum rules, as required when joining the forum.
