Post by jason32 » Sat Sep 09, 2017 2:12 pm

Hey guys,

Just finished my familys Tier 2 general extension application but is it just the online form and photos and passports and brp for extension? is that it? the form seems too simple? they dont have that points calculator section? and also no mentions of maintenance funds section? is there a separate form to attach with the application?

Please help I have to send it today.

Thanks

There is no 'extra/additional' form. There is also no longer a points base calculator as such.

Not sure about maintnance as the guidance does seem unclear.

Suggest wait for others to respond.

Bank statements are not required for extension.
As you said you're applying for family, I will advise you provide evidence of cohabitation. Although this is not officially required for extension but I know someone that was asked for evidence of cohabitation during visa extension at a premier application center.
I am not a lawyer and do not claim to be one. All my comments here are based on my opinions, experience and interpretation of the appropriate UKVI guidance documents and immigration rules.

I too applied for tier 2 extension two weeks ago. After filling an online application along with two dependents, it was clearly mentioned that language and Maintenace were not needed. I posted it with documents according to the check list, nothing more than that. Let's see how it goes.

At the end of the application stated that:
Information you do not have to provide
You do not need to prove you meet the required level of English because you have current leave in Tier 2
(General) leave to remain, or had leave in the past
You do not need to prove maintenance because you have current leave in Tier 2 (General) leave to remain
