FLR m Accommodation evidence

Post by andygo81 » Mon Sep 11, 2017 11:08 pm

Hello. First of all these forums are simply lifesavers. I will be helping my wife apply for her FLR in less than a years time.
From the time she arrived we lived in a friends rented 1 bedroom flat which he let us use as he's mostly away. Now my worry is that we haven't really got enough evidence like a tenancy agreement, council tax bills but we have got utility bills, bank statements in our names for that address together with my employment documents.
With less than a year left until we have to renew her stay we want to rent our own property and have the necessary requirements.
Will it be a problem for not showing proper proof of accommodation from the time she entered UK until now.
Thank you

I think a letter/letters from your friends where you and your family lived at will be very important too which confirms that duration.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Hi seagul
Thank you for your reply. So he has rented the place (under his name) but he's away and we've been looking after the flat so to say and its not officially ours. So a letter from him saying me and my wife have been staying in the flat for the duration will be good enough?
